Munich and the famous Oktoberfest

The Munich Octoberfest which begins at the end of September (!) is one of the largest folk festivals in the world. The party goes on for two weeks at this brilliant annual market. There are decorative processions and magnificent parades which open the great folk festival. Then the party moves on to the giant beer tents. With plenty of beer and live music people just party and dance (often even on the tables!). You really shouldn’t miss out on this unique party – as they say in German “einfach a Gaudi auf der Wies´n haben” - you just have to have some fun at the Octoberfest!
