It is definitely worth paying a visit to one of the many beer gardens in Munich after your German course. Chinesischer Turm ( Chinese Tower)
The second biggest beer garden in Munich is situated at the foot of the “Chinesischer Turm” which stands in the middle of the English garden. Seehaus (The Lake House)
The „Seehaus“ is the „in“ beer garden in Munich and is situated directly in the English Garden on the shores of Lake Kleinhesseloher. Aumeister
The Munich beer garden “Aumeister” is situated in the North part of the English Garden, far away from the hustle and bustle of the “Chinesischer Turm” or the “Seehaus”. Flaucher
The „Flaucher“ is one of the largest pebble islands in the Isar River and attracts plenty of barbeque enthusiasts and naked bathers. There is also a wonderfully situated beer garden. Although this beer garden is one of the largest in Munich, it has still managed to retain its sense of coziness. It also has remarkably fair prices. Close to the beer garden is an enclosure where all kind of red deer are kept.
Kugler Alm
This beer garden, which is located in the South East of Munich, has been a favorite beer garden for the locals in Munich for centuries and is also very popular with participants from the German course. A bike ride up to the beer garden is particularly enjoyable. The legend of the “Radlermass” also revolves around the bicycle – apparently in 1922 a “Radlermass” (“a liter of Radler”), a mixture of beer and lemonade, was invented due to a shortage of beer. The “Radler” tastes very refreshing and is especially good for those who do not really like the strong Bavarian beer.
Waldwirtschaft Großhesselohe
Here you can drink a beer in the forest after your German course in Munich: As the name already indicates, the “Waldwirtschaft” is located in the middle of the forest near Grünwald and Pullach. Various jazz bands play here on a daily basis which lends a special charm to this beer garden on the high banks of the Isar River.
