While on my second month at the Deutschakademie I am quite happy to see that I can start to communicate with people at shops, restaurants and simple conversations with other students at University.And that feels good! In general we have been focusing in class on prepositions-pretty complicated business!- and also the past tenses.My aim is to start using all the vocabulary I have learned up to know in order to make my points as clear a possible during a conversation. Not an easy job for a beginner in german since you have to think quite a lot of grammar before actually saying exactly what you want to say. But practice makes perfect-or is at least the right way to perfection, right? ; )

Online-Deutschkurs
Ich bin nicht gewöhnt online Übungen zu machen. Es war eine Neuigkeit für mich, dass ich zu Hause Deutsch üben kann. Ich mag es besonders auf dem Computer arbeiten, weil ich mein Computer jeden Tag sowieso einschalte und bequem für meine Deutschpraxis etwas machen kann. Ich übe gerne Adjektiv Deklination, Konjunktiv II und I, Wortschatz, usw. Es gibt viele verschiedene Übungen für alle Stufen und deswegen ist es ein großer Vorteil am Computer zu arbeiten: zu jeder Übung, die man entweder nicht versteht oder falsch gelöst hat, kann man einem Lehrer der DeutschAkademie eine Frage stellen. Es war interessant für mich, mir die Lösungsstatistik anzuschauen. Ich weiß genau wo ich bin und was ich mir besser anschauen kann.
Ich möchte mich auch auf die ÖSD-Prüfung vorbereiten und es gibt für mich die Möglichkeit, Grammatik uns Leserverstehen zu trainieren. Ich ende hier, weil ich meine Hausaufgabe machen muss. Bis bald!
Prüfungszeit!
Gott sei Dank, das Heute Donnerstag ist, der letze Tag in der Woche für den Deutschunterricht! Warum ich das sage? Weil meine Woche so voll war. Ich habe im Kurs viele neue Dinge gelernt. Wie zum Beispiel Zweiteilige Konnektoren, die Bedeutung der Modalpartikeln und viele neue Wörter.
Heute war der große Tag, weil ich heute die Prüfung gehabt habe. Ich habe mich seit Montag für sie vorbereitet und habe jeden Tag mindestens 2 Stunden gelernt. Ich muss ein bisschen mehr als die anderen Kollege arbeiten, weil ich Deutsch nur seit einigen Monaten studiere. Aber das macht mir viel Spaß!
Aber was ist mit dieser Prüfung?….Unsere Lehrerin gibt uns zweimal pro Monat einen kleinen Test, weil sie wissen muss, ob wir alles verstanden haben, was wir in der letzten Zeit gemacht haben. Und wir wissen auch, auf welchem Niveau wir sind.
Tipps fürs Deutschlernen
Ich kann sagen, dass ich schon viel Erfahrung gesammelt habe, wie man lernen kann. Ich suche immer eine einfache und interessante Art zum Lernen. Ja, ich weiß und bin sicher dass es nicht so einfach ist, aber man muss geduldig sein. Besser ist es jeden Tag etwas Neues zu lernen. Es ist wie ein Sport: je öfter ein Sportler sich trainiert, desto besser und motivierter ist er.
Wenn ich keine Lust zum Lernen habe, gehe ich spazieren oder ich lese dann ein Buch oder im besten Fall koche ich für meine Familie. Ich öffne das Fenster, weil wir wissen, dass der Sauerstoff sehr wichtig für das Gehirn ist. Um eine Fremdsprache richtig und schnell zu lernen, muss man sowohl Theorie als auch Praxis vereinbaren. Theorie ist eine Sache, Praxis ist die andere. Ohne Praxis geht es nicht! In diesem Sinne sind Auslandsaufenthalte, Radio hören und fernsehen unbedingt notwendig, um das theoretische Sprachwissen in die Praxis umsetzen zu können. Ich bin für viel mehr Praxis !!!

Prufung!!!
So…today I’ve had my first and last real test in DA! Although I was worried at first that I would not be able to pass it successfully (I’ve had very little time to study), I have managed to recall most of the material and found it surprisingly easy. If anything, I believe that it is a proof for the effectiveness of the program and and the high teaching standards.My grade is 31/36. However, had I been more careful with my writing I would have fully aced the exam.

Some of my favorite sights, which I would also recommend to others are as follows (in no particular order): 1. The Parliament building 2. Hofburg and its exhibitions 3. Schonbrunn (best during summer!) 4. the Viennese Opera 5. Kunsthistorische/Naturhistorische Museum and MuseumsQuartier 6. The Rathaus
The German Online Course
The German online course is a pretty neat tool. I really like the Prepositions exercises and the fact that it is also possible to answer any random question adapted specifically to the desired level. I think it’s a very helpful website that is absolutely a must for anybody who studies German!
What do I like best about DeutstchAkademie
Two things that I like best about DeutschAkademie are the method of teaching and the small size of the group. The teaching comprises an effective mix of grammar, listening comprehension, reading, and talking which has improved my German by leaps and bounds. The small size of the group is also very helpful because it allows every student to ask questions and participate. I have definitely noticed an improvement during my time in DA, which motivates me even more to study. As for our teacher, Evelyn, I have nothing but praise. She is always very helpful, kind and answers any question that a student might have clearly and effectively. Definitely a great teacher.
Deutsch courses
Of course Deutsch Akademie is not the first Deutsch Courses I have taken.My first courses were in Saint-Petersburg, it was first time, then I’ve started to learn German. I took this courses because I knew that I am going to Austria and I felt the need to know this language. Second courses, were at my university, actually it is a part of the program here, so I’ve lernt German here for almost 2.5 years, and still not able to use this language. 🙁 My friend told me about Deutsch Akademie. Firstly, honesly to say I thought that it is just not worth to spend 250 euros for montly Deutsch Course, but from the very fisrt lesson at Deutsch Akademie I have realised that all this money I had spent were not a waste, but one of the best investments in my life 🙂 Our teacher Julia, made a combination of Grammer and Fun. We played a lot of games, and I think that games is the most useful mean of learning, because you feel relaxed and just let your language flow. I think you now that I mean.
10 Hilfreiche Tips für Deinen Deutsch Sprachkurs!
- Im Sprachkurs so viel wie möglich mitarbeiten. Wenn etwas unklar ist einfach den Sprachkurs-Lehrer fragen.
- Eine Zeitungen oder Magazine auf Deutsch lesen. So übt man nicht nur lesen, sondern lernt auch interessante Dinge kennen.
- Am besten ein kleines Vokabelheft anlegen und immer überall mitnehmen. Wenn man ein neues deutsches Wort kennenlernt, gleich aufschreiben. So merkt man sich das für seinen Sprachkurs.
- Jede Chance zum Deutsch sprechen nützen! Einfach mal Leute anreden. Das klappt vor allem in Parks oder kleinen Bars. So kann man nicht nur Deutsch sprechen üben, sondern auch neue Leute kennen lernen.
- Den Online Grammatik Trainer von der DeutschAkademie nutzen. Der hilft auch nach dem Sprachkurs in unserer Sprachschule!
- Beim Deutsch üben alle 30 Minuten eine kleine Pause machen! Wissenschaftler sagen, dass man sich dann Vokabeln viel länger merkt.
- Wenn man mal im Sprachkurs müde ist, einfach an die frische Luft gehen oder eine Tasse Kaffe trinken.
- Die Hausübungen vom Sprachkurs als Chance sehen, etwas zu lernen und wiederholen! Außerdem ist es ein gutes Gefühl, seine Hausübungen abzuschließen.
- Was besonders schnell für den Sprachkurs hilft: Filme auf Deutsch schauen, und viel deutsches TV sehen. Kleiner Tipp: Wenn man den Film schon mal auf Englisch oder einer anderen Sprache gesehen hat, versteht man den Film auf Deutsch viel leichter!
- Sprich auch mit deinen Kollegen aus deinem Sprachkurs in deiner Freizeit Deutsch. Das ist vielleicht anstrengender als Englisch, aber hilft beim Deutsch-Sprechen üben!
the Akkusativ!!
Last Thursday, I learned a WHOLE NEW CASE, the akkusativ. So now I can say „I eat a sandwich“ correctly. Clearly a very important objective. I can’t wait to learn the past tense so I stop sounding like an ogre. I eat sandwich. I cook food. I buy many things today at the grocery store. I want go to München. Ogre ogre ogress.
Seriously, though, I can’t believe this is my last week of German class! I feel like I’ve just started to get the hang of the schedule, going from work to class, and I want to continue while I’m feeling so positive about learning! I also really want the same teacher for my next class… Ich liebe Reinhardt. For anyone thinking about taking beginning German at the Deutsch Akademie, rest assured that Reinhardt will help you through the pain and agony of not knowing how to say anything at all.
