Deutsch ganz leicht & the Basic Vocabulary Builder

What happens in your mind when you think about learning a new language? You are excited, aren’t you?

What about  the moment when have already started learning it, you pass the basics of the basics, you have some words in your vocabulary and you must talk and put together the knowlegde you have got so far?  How do you feel then? Lost, desperate, incapable? You don’t know what to start with and you forgot the little you had known? Yes, I know. Been there, done that!

Well, to avoid these situations, Deutsch Akademie prepared 2 materials for all of us. All of us that think that German is not among the simplest languages on Earth and that try hard to remember all those new words and pronounce perfectly. More precisely, I mean here:

> DEUTSCH  GANZ  LEICHT

> THE BASIC  VOCABULARY  BUILDER

These 2 materials are extremely useful! DEUTSCH GANS LEICHT contains  7 stories, read very clearly in 2 different rhythms: normal (for the fantastic students) and slow (for the future fantastic students 🙂 ). The book also contains a little lexic explanation for the absolute new words and some exercises to make sure you properly understood the text. (The correct answers are on the next page, in order to verify yourself.)

The BASIC VOCABULARY BUILDER is, as I like to call it, a survival guide. You have all the main words there in order to have a normal conversation with anyone on the street, in a hospital, to express your opinion, to react in your own way, etc. etc. There are 48 pages of pure awesomeness!

I have them too, both of them.

I like the DEUTSCH  GANZ  LEICHT  book very much, because of the quality of the texts, how it uses all our information gathered so far and how we learn new useful words. My favourite reason is represented by the 2 reading rhythms. As all of you know, it is so hard to understand the German speakers, when they talk normally. However, this slow motion, yet not boring reading rhythm helps us to observe all aspects of the texts: meaning, new words, pronunciation and punctuation. It is impressive! I love that!

The BASIC VOCABULARY BUILDER is always with me. I have a little dictionary and this survival guide, as I called it in the previous lines. It is very, very useful! Wherever you go: Cosmetics, shop, supermarket,…  you can  use it, since it contains the basic vocabulary for each of these situations. I don’t carry with me the CDs. Just the book. I listen to the CDs at home for a better pronunciation.

With all these being said, I recommend and encourage you to buy them both from the Reception or from the online shop:
