Looking at vegan food differently (and loving it!)

Dear all, I would like to tell you about an awesome place to eat in Vienna. It is a vegan restaurant called Swing Kitchen that specifies in serving burgers.

When my friend who lives in Vienna for 5 years now first told me about it, I was very sceptical because – I have to be honest – I am a huge meat lover and I am not a huge fan of vegan food as I cannot imagine it being the same. Especially it was quite weird for me to hear about vegan burgers – how is that possible? And imagine how surprised I was to discover that not only their burgers are incredibly delicious, nutritious and extremely healthy but also taste exactly like meat! How awesome is that?! 🙂

The idea of Swing Kitchen was created by Charly Schillinger, an ex-broker who became first a vegetarian, and then a vegan, and together with his wife Irene decided to recreate Austrian home cooking but purely plant-based. They set up their own restaurant in 2015 and became the best known pioneers of vegan gastronomy in Austria in no-time. Their kitchen has proved that a free-animal diet can be tasty and diverse. 🙂

The price range of the restaurant is extremely democratic! You can get a menu (burger + a side dish + a drink) for around or even less than 10 euros and you will be full for the rest of the day (I could not even finish actually). Currently Swing Kitchen has 5 locations, so you can visit their website, pick a location that suits you the best and maybe visit them some time. I highly recommend to, and I am sure you will like it as much as I do!

More posts to come, stay tuned!

Best wishes to all,

Anna
