During the second week of my German course I have really learned a lot again; speaking, understanding and writing are much easier now. I am amazed how fast you can learn a language again, but it is strange to realize that we are already halfway through the course.

The themes of the second week were “love” and “media”. We did a role-playing game for the first theme; everyone was assigned a certain character and a we had to talk about different subjects, for example how religion and love are connected. This is a very good practice for speaking and some of my classmates really showed their acting talent! With the second theme we discussed some children’s cartoons and movies, like Pipi Langstrumpf. Very interesting to see that in certain countries the same cartoons were shown and as a result many sounds of recognizability were heard in the room.
