Two most favourite places of mine in Vienna

Hi to everyone! I would love to tell you a little bit about my two most favourite places in Vienna. The first place you all probably know well already – its Volksgarten (the park, not the club ?), and the second place is less known – its Türkenschanzpark. Both of these places happen to be parks and are especially awesome to visit now during the summer when it’s hot and sunny, whether you want to sit and read a book, sunbathe or just take a walk. Highly recommended!

Volksgarten

The Volksgarten is one of the most beautiful small parks or gardens I have ever seen, to be honest. It is located in the first district in the heart of the city and it is a part of the Hofburg Palace. There are two fountains there, a monument, a small temple, and a gorgeous rose garden with more than 3,000 rose bushes of more than 200 different types of roses.

Türkenschanzpark

As for Türkenschanzpark, it is a much larger park, situated further from the city centre – in 18th district. You can easily get there by catching a tram 41 from Schottentor. It is a great park for anything you want to do there – doing sports, walking or relaxing. There are many ponds there where you can feed ducks, a huge number of benches to sit on, play areas for children, a café, as well as an observation tower. There are also beach volleyball and basketball fields there in case you’d like to play. Definitely a must-visit place!
