2. All about the German Courses in Vienna:

2.1. What are the German course levels in Vienna?

We have 12 German course levels in Vienna, from the complete beginner’s level to the Upper Level (Oberstufe). We offer German intensive courses in Vienna and individual tuition at all levels. For advance students, we also offer special German grammar and conversation courses (semi-intensive courses) as well as term-long German courses in Vienna.

2.2. What German courses are available at DeutschAkademie Vienna?

Generally there are intensive German courses in Vienna beginning once every month and lasting 4 weeks. Generally teaching takes place four times a week for 3 hours each time, but there can be exceptions.
German grammar and conversation courses begin at the same time as the intensive German courses, but are only taught twice a week for 3 hours.
Term-long German courses in Vienna begin every 2 months and last 8 weeks. Teaching takes place twice a week for 3 UE each time (4.5 hours per week).

2.3. How much progress will I make in a German course at DeutschAkademie Vienna?

We have very good German teachers. In every one of our German courses, you will make a decided improvement in your German language level. See also under German course Program.

2.4. At what time does the German course Vienna begin?

German intensive classes go from 8:30am - 11:30am, 11:45am - 2:45pm, 3pm - 6pm or 6:15pm - 9:15pm (8:30 - 11:30, 11:45 - 14:45, 15:00 - 18:00 und 18:15 - 21:15 Uhr).

2.5. Can I choose my German course times?

Yes, for almost all German courses, if you book early, you can choose a particular class time. Please take note that morning (8:30 – 11:30) and evening (6:15 – 9:15) German courses usually fill up very early. Should you decide on a morning or evening German course, you should reserve your place as early as possible.

2.6. When does the next German course Vienna begin?

You will find our German intensive course dates here. The teacher may arrange differing times in agreement with the students.

2.7. Are there still course/accommodation places available for my preferred course date?

Simply write us an email or ring us up. We are happy to help you further. If you would like to book accommodation, it is best to book and pay for it 4 weeks before your arrival.

2.8. Can I extend my stay in Vienna during the German course?

Certainly you can do that. We are always pleased if our students have such a good time that they want to stay longer! And many do just that.

2.9. Is the German language course in Vienna held on public holidays?

No, there are no German courses on public holidays. Our teachers may sometimes make up the lost class times on another day.

2.10. Is the German course recognized by the University of Vienna?

Our German course is officially recommended by the Technical University of Vienna. As well, you can sit for an internationally recognized certificate after your German course.

2.11. Is private German tuition also available?

Yes. We are happy to organize one or more German private lessons at your chosen time of day.
