First week… checked

In the first two posts I was speaking about my emotions in regards the class… but here I am now, after one week, my emotions past, I already had 12 hours of German and met 11 new people, my colleagues and teacher.

On short… the first day, was the day in which we met our teacher, get to know each other, but we also started our first lesson.

Currently, in my class, we are 11 people, from different countries and with different personalities. I have colleagues from Asia, America (South and North) and of course Europe. They all agreed with me taking pictures during classes, and I’m thinking maybe I’ll write some more things about them in the future.

Our teacher is a great women, she has all the necessary patience to explain every single word, tries to communicate with each one of us, but most important… beside the planned course words and grammatical part, she tries to get to know us better, to create connections and find similar interests, helping us to communicate more.

The classroom arrangement, offer us the possibility to see all our colleagues making the interaction easier. The room is a bright one, with big windows. On the walls, can be found different outlines from the German grammar. All in all, is a comfy room, which invites you to study.

Each day was an intense one. New words and grammar rules pop up in our face. In order to inforce the information received during classes, we also receive homework, each day, two-three or for exercises. In this way, we do not forget about German till the next day… we sit at home, in our favorite spot where we make the exercises and remember the new words.

In our first week we also had to do a small composition about our dream house J.

So, if you are thinking that joining a private school is not so intense, than Deutsch Akademie is not the place for you! In Deutsch Akademie you’ll find intense classes, with a lot of interaction, communication, grammar rules, exercises and homework. All of this are for our own good and improvement.

In conclusion, my first week was a beautiful one, I met new people and learnt new words/ expressions… I can’t wait for the next weeks and classes. Until then, is weekend, a good moment to practice our skills and of course, do the homework.

Have a great weekend!
